Months = 13,149 ÷ 30.44 = 431.96, shown as 431, even though the calendar says exactly 432 months have passed.

Because months and years use averages, the figures can lag the calendar by one unit on or just after a birthday or month anniversary. A span of three calendar years containing no February 29 (for example, January 1, 2001 to January 1, 2004) is 1,095 days, which divides to 2.998 and displays as 2 years. For a February 29 birthday, the date JavaScript builds in a non-leap year rolls over to March 1, so the countdown targets March 1 in those years.
